Te Ika-a-Maui - the fish of Maui – is the Maori name for New Zealand’s North Island. Legend has it that the demi god Maui stowed away on his brothers’ canoe and out-fished them all when he hauled the great fish out of the ocean. Wellington is its head and Northland its tail. We invite you to make the great fish your home for the next 10 action-packed days.
Action packed but relaxed too with enough majestic scenery to fill ten photo albums. Your Golf in New Zealand tour will take you from the beautiful city of Auckland to the Matakana coast and on up to the sub tropical Bay of Islands. From here, it is back down to Lake Taupo – New Zealand’s largest lake – before heading east to the fabulous wine region of Hawke’s Bay. We round out the tour by heading south to the capital city of Wellington and the Kapiti Coast.
Welcome to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, nestled between the mighty Manukau Harbour and the sparkling Waitemata Harbour. With its iconic Harbour Bridge, Sky Tower and Viaduct Harbour precinct, the city has instant appeal for visitors and locals alike. Just ask those who live here!
